23 Mar Crossfit – Part of our story
If you’ve ever met someone who does Crossfit, you might have heard some pretty radical claims and statements.
A great many things are attributed to Crossfit. Some of them are even true.
For the uninitiated: “CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more.”
The Crossfit phenomenon has impacted millions of people in different ways.
According to Crossfit.com: “Harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition and fun of sport or game yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means.”
From our perspective, it provides a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and form lasting relationships under the stress of extreme physical exertion and united suffering. The strength and determination to get through a big workout comes from the people around you. It’s not a solo sport (even if it looks like it in the documentaries – “Fittest on Earth”).
There is something special about the bond that is forged in this furnace of sweat, pain, calluses and breathlessness.
This was the setting of Melissa and Sally’s first meeting five years ago. Their friendship, like their fitness, has developed from strength to strength from this foundation.
As mothers, business women and crossfitters, we know what it takes to put in the work and get fantastic results.
